Denbighshire · Sir Ddinbych
Confidence underfoot, right across Denbighshire.
A slippery floor never looks slippery — so we measure it for you. Friendly, independent, accredited testing that tells you exactly where your floors stand, and what (if anything) to do next.
In plain terms
What we’ll check
Grip is invisible, and it quietly fades as floors wear and cleaning changes. A quick visit puts a clear number on it — well before anyone finds out the hard way.
The pendulum
The main check is the pendulum — a calibrated arm with a soft rubber foot that sweeps the floor just as a heel would on the way down. The figure it gives, the Pendulum Test Value, shows plainly how much grip there is; 36 and up is the safe band, and we always check wet as well as dry.
The texture
Where floors get wet or greasy, the fine texture matters too. We measure it in microns (Rz) — enough of it and water has somewhere to go, so the floor keeps its grip. It works hand in hand with the pendulum, and we’re accredited for both.

A visit, start to finish
How it works
We come to you
On site, at a time that suits — out of hours if that’s easier.
We take the readings
Wet and dry, with the pendulum and, where it helps, surface roughness.
You get clear advice
An accredited report, and a plain answer on anything worth sorting.
What’s expected of you
It’s more reassuring than daunting: if people walk on your floors, you’re expected to keep them safe and to have checked — that’s the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Workplace Regulations. In care settings across Wales, Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) likes to see slip risk actively looked after. A clear test result is your proof.
A safe pair of hands
We’re genuinely independent — no flooring to sell, no coatings to push, no commission in the background — so whatever we find, you can trust the number. It comes from the same UKAS-accredited lab that’s tested floors for names like Amazon, Gatwick, British Airways and TUI, and that checks over 300 flooring products a year.
